I'm a graphic designer, dog-lover, wife, and foodie living in Harrisonburg, VA. I work primarily with clients in the Shenandoah Valley, but clients from all over are always welcome!
I graduated college with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from James Madison University. But here's a fun fact about me: before college I had never taken a formal art class. I often tell people that college is where I officially fell in love with design. It's there that I learned what exactly design was, and that throughout my childhood I had done all sorts of things that could be considered graphic design - I just didn't know it yet.
A naturally curious and over-ambitious person, it didn't take me very long to realize why I love design so much; there's always something new to try and something else to learn. Having the opportunity to create something out of nothing with my own two hands, seeking creative solutions for perplexing problems, and showing others the beauty that basic and strong design can add to life are just a couple of the reasons why I return to my desk day after day.
As an individual I tend to thrive on simplicity and order (a pretty unique personality trait for a creative). Above all else, I value honesty, loyalty, and respect, and as a designer I try my best to bring these qualities into each thing I create and every interaction that I have. When I'm not designing, chances are I'm either playing with my pups, riding a horse, trying a new food or exploring the vast wine country of Virginia.
